Robbery at Mission Place Pharmacy and Assault on Natures Road

HCPD DAILY CRIME BULLETIN – FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 2, 2018

Assault

Columbia, 21046: 7100 block of Natures Road, Feb. 1, 11:24 p.m | Witnesses reported that an adult male was being assaulted by a group of male suspects, who then pushed the victim into a van. Police responded and located the van. All five occupants, including the victim, got out, ran from the van and were not able to be located by officers. Police launched a search using K-9 and a helicopter. They located the victim, who had a gunshot wound to the leg, nearby a short time later. He was transported to Shock Trauma with non-life-threatening injuries. The four suspects were not located. Detectives believe the victim may have been targeted. The investigation is ongoing.

Robbery

Jessup, 20794: Mission Place Pharmacy, 8100 block of Washington Boulevard, February 1, 1:10 p.m. | An employee reported that a male suspect entered the pharmacy, assaulted the employee and stole prescription medication before fleeing. No one was injured. The investigation is ongoing. SUSPECT: black male, approximately 6’0″ with a mustache/goatee wearing a light gray sweatshirt and sweatpants.

Columbia, 21045: 8800 block of Tamar Drive, February 1, 3:52 p.m. | An adult male reported he was making a pizza delivery when he encountered three male suspects going through his vehicle. The victim approached the suspects, who then assaulted him before fleeing. Nothing was reported stolen and no serious injuries were reported. The investigation is ongoing. SUSPECTS: three black males, one 5’10” with a thin build wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and jacket and blue jeans, the others approximately 5’6″, no further description

Skimming Device

Ellicott City, 21043: Exxon, 4200 block of Montgomery Road, February 1, 8:40 a.m. |An employee reported a possible skimming device on one of the gas pumps. Police responded, located and removed the skimming devise.

Theft from Vehicle

Laurel, 20723: 9100 block of Tumbleweed Run, February 1, 6:40 a.m., tire | 9200 block of Brand Lane, February 1, 10:17 a.m, tires
