Ellicott City, 21043:
7600 block of Coachlight Lane, Apr. 1-11
Unknown suspect(s) gained entry through a rear glass slider and stole a purse and watch. No signs of forced entry were observed.
Columbia, 21044: 5400 block of Hildebrand Court, Apr. 15 1:30 a.m.
A resident reported that a male suspect attempted to gain entry to the home through a rear basement door and fled when confronted. No entry was gained and nothing was reported stolen.

A resident reported that a female suspect gained entry to her residence, stole the house and car keys and later stole the vehicle. The suspect was arrested in another state and charges are pending.

Robbery arrest update
Police have made an arrest in Dec. 30 robbery in Columbia. A male suspect entered the PNC Bank inside Giant in the 7200 block of Cradlerock Way, implied a weapon, and demanded cash. The clerk complied and the suspect fled. No one was injured. Through investigation, police identified the suspect and arrested him.

Vehicle theft arrest update

Police have made an arrest in three vehicle thefts in Columbia. A 16-year-old male juvenile, of Columbia, has been charged with vehicle thefts from the 5900 block of Morning Bird Lane (Mar. 2) and twice from the 7300 block of Mossy Brink Court (Mar. 4 and Mar. 28). In the Mossy Brink Court vehicle thefts, the suspect also is charged with two counts of burglary after breaking into a residence to steal the keys to the vehicle.

Residential burglary arrest update
Police have made an arrest in a December 2017 burglary in Columbia. Between Dec. 23 and Jan. 1, 2018, the suspect gained entry to the residence in the 5600 block of High Tor Hill by breaking a window and stole clothing. Through investigation, police identified a suspect and arrested him.
