UPDATE: At 8:54 PM HCPD reported missing 91-year-old Bernard Allen was located in VA and is safe/unharmed.
Police issue silver alert, ask for public help to locate missing elderly man *please share in VA*
Howard County police are asking for the public’s help to locate a missing elderly man from Jessup. A silver alert has been issued.
Bernard Calvin Allen, 91, was last seen in the 5900 block of Harpers Farm Road in Columbia at approximately 5 a.m. and is believed to be driving a red 2017 Chevy Sonic, MD tags 88390HD. Police believe he may have made it as far as Springfield, Virginia.
His family, and police, are concerned for his well-being due to age-related health concerns. He may be confused and is in need of time sensitive medication.
Allen is described as a black male, five feet nine inches tall, 205 pounds, with brown eyes and gray hair and mustache. He was last seen wearing gray pants, a blue checked shirt, brown sweater, blue baseball hat and glasses.
Anyone who sees Allen or his vehicle should call 911.
