Robbery

Columbia, 21045: 6100 block of Old Dobbin Lane, May 4 11:21 p.m.

An adult male victim reported that he was approached by two male suspects with their faces partially covered who assaulted him, displayed a gun, and stole shoes and cash. No serious injuries were reported. The investigation is ongoing.

Commercial burglary

Elkridge, 21075: Public Storage, 7000 block of Old Waterloo Road, May 4 6:08 p.m.

A witness reported that a male suspect was attempting to break into storage units. He then fled. Nothing was reported stolen.

SUSPECT: white male wearing a gray tank top and black pants

Columbia, 21044: Gables Residential, 10300 block of Swift Stream Place, May 5 6:55 a.m.

Police responded for a report of a male suspect who had gained entry to the complex gym by forcing open the door. The suspect was located and arrested. Nothing was reported stolen.

ARRESTED: Yusuf Bilal, 23, of no fixed address, charged with burglary and trespassing

Residential burglary

Ellicott City, 21043: 3500 block of Church Street, May 2-5

Unknown suspect(s) gained entry to the residence by breaking a side window and stole jewelry.

Ellicott City, 21042: 4600 block of Willowgrove Drive, May 3 6:20-9:15 p.m.

Unknown suspect(s) attempted to gain entry to the residence by prying open the back door. No entry was gained.

Columbia, 21045: 6100 block of Majors Lane, May 3-4 overnight

Unknown suspect(s) gained entry to two residences – one through an unlocked door and the other by breaking a rear glass slider — and stole a video game console and video games from one of the residences. Nothing was reported stolen from the other.

Columbia, 21044: 5000 block of Southern Star Terrace, May 3-6

Unknown suspect(s) gained entry to the residence and stole various electronics. No signs of forced entry were observed.

Clarksville, 21029: 6900 block of Timber Creek Court, May 5

Unknown suspect(s) gained entry to the residence by breaking a rear door window and stole purses, jewelry, and cash.

Theft from vehicle/vehicle break-in

Jessup, 20794: 7900 block of Washington Boulevard, May 2-3 overnight, catalytic converter

Columbia, 21046: Guilford Road & Old Guilford Road, May 3 12:14 p.m., purse

Elkridge, 21075: 6000 block of Marshalee Drive, May 3-4 overnight, tools

Ellicott City, 21042: 9800 block of Old Annapolis Road, May 4 3:45-4:45 p.m., purse
