Residential burglary
Elkridge, 21075: 6000 block of Avalon Drive, May 8 9:52 a.m.
Howard County police assisting another agency in locating a suspect arrested him at the above location and discovered that he had also broken into a residence nearby. It is unclear if anything was stolen.
ARRESTED: Matthew King, 29, of Marble Arch Drive in Pasadena, charged with burglary

Unknown suspect(s) attempted to gain entry to the residence by breaking a window screen. No entry was gained.

Robbery
Columbia, 21045: 5800 block of Robert Oliver Place, May 7 3:33 p.m.
A juvenile male victim reported that he was approached by three juvenile acquaintances who threatened him and stole his cell phone before fleeing. No one was injured.
Weapon violation
Ellicott City, 21043: 8400 block of Baltimore National Pike, May 8 12:26 a.m.
Police making a traffic stop discovered a loaded handgun in the vehicle. A passenger was arrested.

Laurel, 20723: Caton Auto Body, 10000 block of Washington Boulevard, May 6-7 overnight Unknown suspect(s) gained entry to the business by breaking a front glass window. Nothing was reported stolen.
