Letter to parents from Principal Rick Robb

I am writing to inform you that at this afternoon’s Board of Education meeting, important information concerning the administration at Patuxent Valley Middle School for the 2019 -2020 academic year was discussed.
Effective July 1, 2019, Ms. Kim Mahle will be assigned as the Assistant Principal at Mayfield Middle School in Columbia, MD and Mr. Smith-Green will have a new placement for next school year.
We want to thank Kim and Q for their service to our community. We wish every success in their new professional home as they create new memories and embrace new friends.
With this change, PVMS will add two full-time Assistant Principals to the administration. Ms. Samantha Armstead will transition from her role as Assistant Principal at Thomas Viaduct Middle School and Assistant Principal, Ms. Lori Willoughby from Folly Quarter, will join our community effective July 1, 2019.
In a future communication, information will be shared regarding opportunities to meet Ms. Armstead and Ms. Willoughby.
