Police Nab Alleged Murderer

Howard County police have arrested the suspect in a Feb. 8 fatal shooting in Columbia.

Corey Conaway, 41, of Columbia, is charged with first- and second-degree murder and related counts in the shooting death of 67-year-old Perry Comeau inside his home in the 9500 block of Half Dollar Court.

Police were called to Comeau’s residence at approximately 10:49 p.m. where they found him with multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Through investigation police developed Conaway, who was in a relationship with Comeau’s daughter, as a suspect.
