Macy’s, 10300 block of Little Patuxent Parkway, May 23 1:30 p.m.
A store employee reported that she confronted a suspect who had stolen merchandise, several suspects assaulted her before fleeing. The merchandise was recovered. No serious injuries were reported.

8500 block of Washington Boulevard, May 23-24 overnight, two vehicles: catalytic converters

3100 block of Elmmede Road, May 22 2:13 p.m.
A resident reported that she observed several male suspects in her residence. The suspects had entered by breaking a rear glass door. They then fled when observed. Nothing was reported stolen.

Unknown suspect(s) entered a shed on the property and stole tools.

ARRESTED: Eric Smith, 54, of Laurel, charged with motor vehicle theft and theft

3100 block of Saint Charles Place, May 17-21
Unknown suspect(s) entered the residence, stole various items, and vandalized the property.
