About Us
The Guilford Gazette serves 10,000 residents in the eastern half of Howard County, Maryland. We serve our readers by providing the news that our readers cannot get elsewhere. We provide information for and about our readers. We cover community, school events, Hammond High School sports, and local personalities. Our political coverage of local politicians has extended our readership to Baltimore and beyond.
Coverage Area
We publish every Thursday and distribute community news to the Howard County, Maryland communities of Savage, Kings Contrivance, North Laurel, Jessup, and Guilford, which includes zip codes 20763, 21046, 20723, and 20794.
Circulation
We circulate 10,000 newspapers to homes and merchants on a weekly basis. Home delivery newspapers are free and placed at the front door or in the driveway close to the house. Newspapers tossed into bushes and grassy areas are retrieved and and moved to the intended area. Paid subscribers receive white glove treatment with their newspapers inside clear bags, which we hang on doorknobs of customers. Merchant drop-offs are displayed in special racks dedicated to the Guilford Gazette, strategically placed to encourage readership.
Content
The Guilford Gazette covers neighborhoods, churches, schools, sports, politics, community meetings, and theater events. We have special features including Publisher’s Notes, Weekly Refresher, Calendar, Comics, Puzzles and much more.
Perks Program
