Mother and Daughter Missing: Police Ask for Help

UPDATE: HCPD report as of 8:11 pm that both Angelica Pina-Ruiz, 48 and daughther, Abril Aguirre-Pina, 7, have been located safe and unharmed

Howard County police are asking for the public’s help to locate a missing woman and her daughter in Elkridge.

Angelica Pina-Ruiz, 48, and her 7-year-old daughter, Abril Aguirre-Pina, were last seen leaving their residence in the 6600 block of Washington Boulevard on foot around 9 a.m. to go on a walk in the neighborhood. They last contacted family via text around 11 a.m.

Her family and police are concerned for their welfare due to health issues and the length of time they’ve been missing.

Police have been searching on foot, with a drone and a K9 Unit but have been unable to locate them.

Pina-Ruiz is described as a Hispanic female, five feet four inches tall and approximately 175 pounds, with brown eyes and brown hair. Her daughter is three feet eight inches tall with brown eyes and brown hair. No clothing description is available.

Anyone who sees Pina-Ruiz or Aguirre-Pina should call 911.
