Baltimore City Teens Arrested for Carjacking in Howard

Howard County police have arrested five teens after several incidents yesterday morning in Columbia. Three juvenile males, age 15, 14 and 14, and two juvenile females, age 15, of Baltimore City, are being charged with armed robbery, carjacking and related charges. Additionally, both juvenile females were previously charged in two armed robberies that occurred in Ellicott City in November.

At approximately 8:18 a.m. April 7, police responded to the 10500 block of Green Mountain Circle for an attempted armed carjacking. Responding officers located the suspect vehicle and attempted a traffic stop, however the suspects fled. Officers pursued the vehicle into Baltimore City where all suspects were taken into custody.

Simultaneously, Howard County officers responded to two additional reports—an armed robbery on Waterfowl Terrace and a second attempted armed carjacking on Green Mountain Circle—that occurred prior to the previously mentioned attempt.

The suspects are being held at various juvenile justice centers in the state. Detectives are working to determine if they may be responsible for other similar incidents in Howard County and surrounding jurisdictions. The investigation is ongoing.
